Actually, I think part of it is the incongruity of experiencing exposure and sensory deprivation in a setting where that isn't an expectation is what I find disconcerting about it. If Aralis were some sort of fetish-play venue... Okay, let me rephrase that. If I viewed Aralis as my fetish-play venue, I'm sure I wouldn't feel as weird as I do in that costume because it would feel appropriate to the situation.
