I thought I'd share my current musical obsession, since F+tM seriously deserve the adulation.

Something about this song just hit me this morning and resonated so hard that I haven't been able to stop listening to it.

And now, back to the grindstone. One of these days, if I'm really good, maybe my inbox will read 0 for a few glorious moments.

a guy can dream, can't he?

I share your current musical obsession, and have been listening to the whole album obsessively for weeks.

Mostly I'm writing to ask how Swanhild is, because Buttbutt is ill and so I wonder about her carriage-whip-hunting companion. Of the others in their litter, Sigfried is fine, Aragorn died last year, and I don't know about Gudruda.

I hope that you, Swainhog, and your family are well.

Yeah, I have yet to take the album out of my car (where I get most of my music listening done these days) since getting it for xmas.

I'm sorry to hear about Buttbutt :( She is a sweet kitty and I hope she turns the corner soon and that this isn't the super serious kind of RF. Not that there isn't a serious kind, but, well, you know.

Swain, like The Dude, abides. She is still food paranoid and we have to watch her intake so that she doesn't blimp out, but otherwise she is well. Personally, I think she sees how much 'fun' we're having with our other cat's health issues and is taking pity on us, but I may be attributing more intelligence to her than is warrented ;)

I'm glad to hear that Sigfried is doing well and very sad to hear about Aragorn. I often wonder about Gudruda, myself. I keep her in my prayers, such as they are, and hope that things are well with her.

Hope things are going well with you and yours as well, and that lil' Ms. Buttbutt gets better soon.

Ha! I'm glad that Swain abides, Dudelike. I'm sorry to hear that your other cat's having problems, though. I've been giving B fluids under the skin daily, as well as oral antibiotics, pepcid to keep her tummy happy, and an occasional appetite stimulant.

For a while it seemed touch and go, but she's been doing really well lately - eating, drinking, cuddling and purring... She's even put a little weight back on! But the best part is that all of this has been confirmed via bloodwork - after being on antibiotics for 3 weeks, her creatinine is down from 4.3 (very high - 5 is complete failure) to 2.8 (normal is .5 - 2.4)!!! I am super thrilled by this, and it points to her maybe having acute RF (ie the not super serious kind).

She's definitely earned the nickname Tenacious B.
